I speak French, Spanish, English and am improving my rusty German. I come from a house that has always been full of animals. First came the pack of dogs, I grew up with them, we took them to the country house every weekend, but eventually we moved to an apartment without a garden and decided they would be happier staying in our country house permanently. That's when cats came into my life.

We picked up our first kitten, “Quina Capucha de la Inmaculada Insolencia”, we call her Quina. She arrived already as a very intimidating lady with her beautiful, intense eyes. She has a long, snow-white coat and a brown stripe that covers her head like a hood and her whole tail. With her I learned respect when petting her, I was used to my dogs, I threw myself down carelessly and she corrected me. I learned to read her body language and her looks so I wouldn't get hit with unexpected scratches. I learned to understand her. Then we rescued “Tilo Amaranto”, a kitten that had been thrown away. At first he was very scared and didn't want anyone near him. I decided to lock myself in my room with him and leave him alone while he got used to me and my smell and waited for him to come to me. Thank goodness I was working from home, so after a week he was already purring in my lap. I managed to communicate with him and, above all, to understand what he wanted. I could even distinguish his meowing when he was hungry, when he wanted me to open the door, etc...

I left all my pets in Colombia in the care of my family and I miss my life full of animal contact.

I always took care of my friends' and family's cats. I stayed at their homes for a while to accompany their cats and take care of them. I have experience with all kinds of personalities, but sometimes you have to know them to know if you will get along. I like to play, but I also like to sit and let them cuddle while I read. I work from home so my schedule is usually flexible.
